BoP Intervention
Elements Akademia, in addition to making graduates employable by enhancing their employability skills, also considers itself morally obligated to conduct interference at the grass-root levels to reduce unemployment and the socioeconomic problems that it generates. Not only does it train them in basic employability skills such as attitude and communication, but also provides them with placements based on their skill set, and has played a key role in turning the dreams and aspirations of many BPL (Below Poverty Line) and APL (At Poverty Line) students to reality.

Government Projects
Education is significant in the development of a country and it should be accessible to all in a society. With the same objective Elements Akademia is nurturing dreams by training and enabling people at the grass root level.
Elements Akademia has anchored number of government/semi government projects for underprivileged, slum dweller and BPL (Below Poverty Line) for prestigious institutions like: Word Bank, MFI (Micro Finance Institutes), etc.

Training at Sainik Schools, Ministry of Defence

Sainik Schools operating under the Ministry of Defence are the feeder institutions for the National Defence Academy (NDA) primarily responsible for training potential officers for the defence services. The average success rate in SSB varies from 25 to 30 percent. Elements Akademia was asked to suggest and execute suitable measures to further improve this rate by improving the quality of teaching in the schools. It was therefore decided that before the training could actually commence, there was a need to carry out Training Need Identification so that necessary curriculum and modality of conduct could be formulated.

Elements Akademia team visited Sainik Schools in Kunjpura and Ghorkhal and interacted with all the stakeholders i.e. the principal, members of the faculty and approximately three hundred students of classes IX to XII. Elements also interviewed various experts in SSB panel: GTOs, Psychologists and Interviewing Officers. They shared insights on what they have generally found missing in most Sainik School students.

After a detailed interaction with the Principal, members of the faculty and students of classes IX to XII in both the schools, following areas were identified where improvement was required

  • Communication Skills
  • Attitude
  • Leadership
  • Motivation
  • Basic intelligence and Reasoning ability
  • Academic Performance
  • Mission Orientation
  • Inclusive Exposure
  • Interaction Students-Teachers

Anita is a young girl from a lower income family in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Like so many others, she had done her school education in a Hindi medium school and was soon to be married. A career was not an option for her. However, Elements Akademia stepped in, via a government strategic alliance and trained her in employability skills. At the culmination of the course, she was offered a job at Genpact for USD 220, and has become a role model for her peers and relatives. Anita remains deeply grateful to Elements Akademia for bringing her dreams to life.
